Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer:

Research, analyze, test, and modify Software/System applications using SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, and Java Script; Modify Software designs and specialized utility programs and provide status reports to the project manager; Work in team environment testing and developing software/system applications in accordance with project specifications under the direct supervision of the technical manager; Provide architectural solutions using Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, HTTP, HTML, XML, XSLT, SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, STRUTS, Java script, and application server such as JBOSS, WebSphere and WebLogic; Develop Web based applications using XML over HTTP, Web Services with BEA WebLogic, Java, J2EE with Agile development methodology; Implement SOAP based protocols using JAX-WS, JAXB and JAX-RPC; Develop and test Web based GUI application with very good understanding of user interface; Develop applications from specifications, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, documents and implements complex software applications; Develop and maintain code developed in Java/J2EE using user centered design for scalable, secure and service oriented solution; Assist in design and development of new application in technologies such as: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Rich Internet Applications(RIA), Occasionally Connected Clients, and executive dashboards.

Requires US or foreign Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of software development experience, including 1 year of specialization in Government and/or Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industries, and demonstrated technical proficiency using Java/J2EE, Servlets, JSP, HTTP, HTML, XML, XSLT,SQL, PL/SQL, STRUTS, JAVASCRIPT, and application servers such as JBOSS, Websphere and WebLogic; Requires 1 year software development experience and demonstrated technical proficiency using Object/Relational mapping and persistence frameworks as well as a data access abstraction layers such as iBatis.

Company headquarters are located in Parkland, FL. This position is currently on temporary assignment in Albany, NY, and requires relocation to client sites at unanticipated locations anywhere in the U.S.; Projects typically last 6 months to 3 years.

SOA Administrator

Installs, configures, tests and maintains hardware/software required for Enterprise Application development in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA): Develops technical design documents from functional specifications; Administers DataPower, Webshpere and Oracle ESB using supplied management interfaces; Creates and configures DataPower Services including Multi-Protocol Gateway, XML Firewall, and Web Service Proxy; Develops, implements and administers policies for security in DataPower, WebSphere and Oracle ESB; Designs and develops XSL for message transformation; Integrates DataPower with LDAP for user authentication; Utilizes tools like Wily to monitor performance and server load and address performance issues; Troubleshoots problems with performance and authorization with the development team throughout the software development life cycle; Monitors server logs, error logs and resolves production issues.

Requires US or foreign Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and one year of experience in IT consulting for medium/large corporations in the administration, testing, support and implementation of Enterprise Applications utilizing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); Demonstrated hands-on experience in configuring the DataPower appliance including Proxy Server Settings, Firewall Settings, XML and XSL transformations; 6 months of software development experience in the US supporting and administering Enterprise Applications in a Service Oriented Architecture using IBM DataPower, IBM WebSphere and Oracle ESB; 6 months of specialization in following industries: Government, and Pharmaceutical/Healthcare; IBM Certification: Implementer for WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances.
